Emilia Martin (born 1991) is a documentary and portrait photographer and artist currently based in the Hague, the Netherlands, where she studies

Photography & Society Masters Programme at the KABK, the Royal Academy of the Arts.

Her interests revolve around identity, ownership and belonging.

She holds diplomas in linguistic studies and British and American literature. After graduating she spent several years working as an air stewardess for Emirates Airlines, travelling around the World while based in Dubai, UAE.

She believes a camera to be a perfect tool to navigate oneself within the world and the job inspired her to seek a visual form of expression.

Since then she has participated in photography courses at London University of Arts (2015-16) and on the Sputnik Mentoring Programme (2018-19) under the mentorship of Michal Luczak. She has also been mentored by Agnieszka Sosnowska.

She chooses to work on long term personal projects, where she regards trust and understanding to be key factors.
